PondWorks is proud to offer a new way to enroll in our Maintenance Contract Services programs by completing forms online and submitting the information directly to us. Below are some common questions and answers related to the forms, contracts, and conditions.
Q: What happens after I fill out a form and submit it to PondWorks?
A: After receiving your form information, PondWorks will create a Custom Maintenance Contract for your water feature. We will create a Contract Summary document showing the service and product totals you prefer and present it to you in an email (or hard copy, if desired). This followup email will also contain any automatic payment release forms, as required.
Q: How much does a Spring Opening, Fall Winterization Closing Service, or Monthly Maintenance Service Cost?
A: It varies greatly; depending on a few factors. We strive to provide fair pricing to all our Customers and have developed systems and procedures in-house that create efficiencies of time, effort, and cost. Here’s a partial list of water feature characteristics that can impact the Cost per Visit for each maintenance service:
Size and depth of the water feature
Filtration and circulation system styles
Location and travel time
Number of water features on site
Local conditions (site access, adjacency to trees, etc.)
Q: Can I sign up for Monthly Payments and receive the 10% discount if I ONLY request a Spring Opening and / or a Fall Closing?
A: No. Only customers who sign up for a Spring Opening, Monthly Maintenances, and a Fall closing services are eligible to utilize the Monthly Billing terms and receive the 10% discount. We will provide you an individual invoice for each service visit you enroll in.
Q: Can I use a debit card / check card / cash to pay for my Monthly Payment Invoicing automatic payment?
A: No. We will only accept a credit card or an electronic bank transfer (EFT, ACH) for the automatic monthly payment method. After submitting your form, we will review your information and if you qualify for the Monthly Payment Plan, we will provide you with the required financial forms to fill out. Monthly payments will be automatically drafted on the 15th of every month
Q: How many Pond Clarifier pucks are needed in a year to keep the pond water clear?
A: As a rule of thumb, the Pond Clarifier pucks are intended to treat up to 5,000 gallons of pond water per month. For most of our Customers, a Season Supply of 10 pucks will provide a year’s worth of clarifying.
Q: Are leak issues, service calls, repair equipment, or plumbing parts covered under a Maintenance Contract?
A: No. Leak diagnostics, Service Calls, Repair / Replacement Calls are independent services and do not fall within the Maintenance Services.
Q: What is declor (Chlorine & Heavy Metal Neutralizer) and how much is needed in a year?
A: Declor is a generic term for products that treat municipal water supplies (city water) in water features that have fish. For some of our Customers, a Season Supply of one 32 oz. bottle will provide a year’s worth of water treatment but it varies greatly depending on the frequency of maintenance services, how much water needs to be added and how big the water feature is.
Q: Can I download or print a copy of the Maintenance Contract Service Descriptions and Notes?
A: Yes. Please feel free to download or print the following documents for your files.
